Parks around Fushimi Inari Taisha - Take Me Out to the Bench

About 10 years ago, Japanese convenience stores had eat-in spaces. You could eat the food and drinks you bought right there. You could even take a little break. Since the pandemic, all eat-in spaces have disappeared. So, if you’re away from your accommodation, where should you eat the stuff you buy at a convenience store or supermarket? Are you going to eat on the grounds of Fushimi Inari Shrine? You'd better not. It causes trouble for the shrine's management, and you should show respect to the gods of this country.

Also, Even if you're not hungry, there are times when your legs get tired and you just want to sit on a bench.

So yeah, in this article, I’ll be talking about the parks and benches around Fushimi Inari Shrine.

There's also Inari Children's Park 2 to the east of Keihan Railway. You can get there by walking from the back gate of Fushimi Inari Shrine, crossing the canal, and it's on the left. Behind the restroom, there's a trash can and the park.

there’s miraculously a trash can. Japan used to have trash cans everywhere, but now they’re extremely rare.

Near Inari Children's Park by the back approach, there’s miraculously a trash can. Japan used to have trash cans everywhere, but now they’re extremely rare. It was probably placed here because a lot of people tend to litter in this area. If you can’t find a trash can like this, please take your trash with you instead of throwing it on the ground. You don’t need to carry it all the way back to your country. Your hotel or guesthouse should have a trash can.
